About the project
This is an updated edition of the Bahrain Royal Family Tree, following an earlier edition created several years previously. The updated artwork contains more than 4,000 names and organizes a very large body of royal genealogical information into one coherent visual composition.
Muharraqi Studios and Khalid Al-Muharraqi developed the artwork, its visual structure, the presentation of the genealogy, the detailing and the overall digital composition. The purpose was not merely to place names on a chart, but to turn complex historical lineage into a large-format commemorative artwork with visual hierarchy, historical character and ceremonial presence.
The completed updated family tree was presented to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at Al Sakhir Palace in 2025. Khalid Al-Muharraqi attended the presentation and discussed the work with His Majesty; the artist retains an original signed piece.
Outcome
The updated family tree was completed and presented to His Majesty and members of the Royal Family as a major genealogical and commemorative artwork.
