New Year 2024
Published Jan 1, 2024
As 2023 fades, we stand on the threshold of a new beginning, surrounded by a mix of hope and reality.
My art reflects this past year—a canvas of contrasts, with blooms of hope amid turmoil and reminders of peace’s fragility.
With fireworks lighting the sky, a question haunts us: in our zeal to celebrate, do we forget the suffering? The mirth of the fortunate clashes with the pain of those touched by conflict—a divide between joy and suffering.
As 2024 approaches, let’s not be dazzled into distraction. Our world’s pain persists, even as some marvel at the sky, others can’t look away from their ruins. Can we truly move forward if we ignore the struggles of many?
Our ease in overlooking others’ agony weighs on us. Let this be a call to stay aware and active, to resist the ease of ignorance.
Entering 2024, let’s carry hope and responsibility. May we nurture healing, stand against the darkness, and commit to a brighter future for all. Rather than just celebrating, let’s honor time’s passage by vowing to improve and remember those who need us most.
