Home with No Land

In the realm of silence and shadows, my newest digital illustration, ‘Home with No Land’, tells a tale as old as time. A story of a land, a history, a people, and their unyielding resilience.
This piece takes you on a journey through the heart of Palestine, a land that, despite its trials, proudly bears the marks of its struggle. A lone brick wall stands firm, its cracks a testament to the Palestinians’ Sanctuary of Structures resilience in adversity, fortitude amidst chaos.
A young olive branch, the Breath of Life, emerges from the wall. It is a symbol of hope, resistance, and the unyielding spirit of a people who refuse to be silenced or forgotten.
The earth beneath, the Veins of the Earth, serves as a poignant reminder of our shared humanity and our collective responsibility to respect and protect it.
In the distance, an old city, partially in ruins yet undeniably resilient, whispers Echoes of the Past – a shared history, a collective strength, and the indelible imprints of the Palestinian past on their present and future.
Finally, a lone grave, the Final Resting Place, stands as a stark reminder of the lives lost in the struggle, the legacy left behind, and the mortality we all share.
This illustration, dear friends, is more than just a tale of Palestinian plight. It’s a universal narrative of longing, resilience, and identity. A poignant reminder that while we all share the same emotions, we must recognize the privileges many enjoy- privileges denied to others. It’s a call to empathize, to understand, and to stand in solidarity with those fighting for their right to call their land home.
As you gaze upon this piece, may it stir within you a connection to the emotions and experiences we all share in our journey through life. For we are all, in our own way, kings and queens with no country, seeking the path to our rightful throne.
