Back Story:

We live in difficult, evil times filled with chaos and destruction; with no clear future. It inspired me to create this symbolic illustration. The image represents our planet crumbling, filled with the hate and destruction caused by humanity, After all these years Atlas is still trying to hold up our planet as it falls apart. He represents humanity on this earth and he’s been chained to this planet for a long time – it is his responsibility to move it into the future come what may. The harsh environment of the image is the dark path he has to go on against all the odds. He wears a gas mask and helmet because we live in the age of hate war.

The serpent represents the evil eye – the evil conspirators that plan the future of this planet. They are actually guiding him slowly into the dark, that why he caries a small lantern.
